Review:

Simple et funky was their debut album, and a good one it was too. Very funky with cool melodues, Jamel and crew do it big style. Very different from their hit single Respect. My favourite track has to be Voulez-vous rendez-vous. Altogether very funky with fresh lyrics and great beats.

Review:

This is the Alliance's second album, and what an excellent album it is. With guest appearances from Youssou N'dour and production from no other than De la soul, this album is extremely cool. The beats are cool, and the lyrics fresh. My favourite amongst these great tracks has to be a la poursuit de les billets vert. Great album, get your copy today!

Review:

This is all their greatest hits bunched together on one CD, and well done too. Nice additions like Prince Paul's remix of Simple Et Funky and Le Vent Tourne. If you can't get hold of the other albums, get this, it's great.

The Alliance Ethnik Timeline
1994 - Alliance Ethnik release 'Simple Et Funky' - their first single. Sells well.
1995 - and Alliance Ethnik join forces with Vinia Mojica on 'Respect', a single which made it outside of France and Francophone countries.
1995 - 'Simple Et Funky' gets released. We finally see the work that Bob Power did with the guys. Some great tracks, which won’t be forgotten.
1996 - and the release of 'Honesty & Jalousy'- another hit for Alliance Ethnik.
1999 - there’s excitment among Alliance Ethnik fans, what could this be? Yeah, a new album, 'Fat Comeback', produced by the excellent De La Soul, and features some great US rappers - Rahzel, Common and the infamous Biz Markie
2000 - 'No Limites' gets a release. Does very well in the charts.
2000 - a new single called 'Fat Comeback” comes out featuring Biz Markie. Does well.
2001 - another new single 'Jam' featuring Common and Rahzel. Another US colaboration which does well both sides of the atlantic.
2001 - at the end of the year, Alliance Ethnik try to re-attempt a hit with '5h du mat', which doesn’t do as well as they’d wanted.
2002 - February sees the release of 'Best Of', the greatest hits of Alliance Ethnik.
